The Wendigo is a mysterious and terrifying creature inspired by Wild West legends. It is not just a myth in Westland Survival, as travelers may occasionally encounter it under certain conditions.
The Wendigo appears at night in random locations on the World Map. It cannot be defeated with regular weapons, and attempting to fight it directly will not bring the desired result. However, even this fearsome being has a weakness. Fire is its greatest fear. Equipping a torch is enough to scare the Wendigo away, as even the sight of flame will make it flee.
You can find a torch as loot in various locations, or you can craft one from 3 Pine Logs. No workbench is required, so you can craft a torch directly at the location as long as you have the necessary resources.
Alternatively, you can avoid confrontation by leaving the location. Exiting the area allows you to escape safely without engaging the creature.
