Update 8.0 — Pet System Upgrade
Get ready, partners! Our latest update for Westland Survival brings a major overhaul to the pet system inspired by your feedback. Now even hungry pets can still fight by your side. We’ve made it much easier to get baits and speed up the growth of your "zoo." Plus, we’ve added dozens of new modules for your Pet House and farm buildings. And that’s not all! Let’s explore the exciting new features and improvements packed in this update!
Feeding Pets
From now on, hunger will no longer render your pets helpless and useless. Even if the feeder in the Pet House is empty, your furry fighters will continue battling for you as long as they have health points!
However, to successfully develop your "zoo," you still need to feed your pets. Food in the feeder is essential for the following processes:
- Adaptation
- Breeding
- Growing newborn pets
- Restoring the health of injured pets at the ranch
Gameplay Variety
Many changes have been made to give you faster access to different animals, allowing you to switch your furry companion more often to find the best fit for various locations and simplify the management of your pets.
Animal Friendship
Once you learn tier 4 bait or higher, animals of that tier and below will no longer attack you first. However, if you initiate an attack, they will fight back. Baits of tiers 2 and 3 do not offer this bonus.
This protection works similarly to the Spirit protection. However, knowing the bait only shields you from that specific type of animal and does not allow you to tame them.
Location Bonuses
Now certain pets will be more effective in specific types of locations or regions. This gives you extra motivation to learn baits for a wide variety of animals. Being in such a location increases the animal's attack, maximum health, and current health points (proportional to the maximum).
Bonuses:
- Wolf (+20%) — All forests
- Alpha wolves (+10%) — All mines
- Lynxes (+20%) — All lakes (including Bayu)
- Pumas (+10%) — All plateaus (and Denali Mountain)
- Dogs (+10%) — All Bandit Camps
- Alligators (+10%) — All constant Marshlands Locations
Please note: Pets not mentioned in the list above don’t get bonuses in any locations. Ranch, Canyon Trials, Spirit Cave, temporary event locations, etc., don’t provide bonuses to any kind of pets.
Improved Taunt
Not all pets are equally good at taking hits. Often, they can be more useful just dealing damage rather than drawing enemy attention and losing a lot of health.
Now, weaker animals like boars, coyotes, wolves, and lynxes will taunt enemies less frequently, allowing your pets to attack enemies without taking too much damage. Pumas and alpha wolves will taunt enemies a bit more often. The strongest animals — bears and alligators, thanks to the perk ‘Improved Taunt’ — will attract enemy attention the most, allowing you to avoid attacks more effectively.
Enhanced Pet Management
The process of luring, learning, and caring for pets has been significantly revamped to make it simpler, more intuitive, and more engaging.
Fast Baits Research
Naturalist Vernon has found a way to significantly accelerate your bait mastery for various animals. Once you've fully learned the baits for one type of creature up to a certain tier, he can, for a fee of silver coins, teach you about all other baits at one tier lower.
Even better, you can now send any pet from your ranch to Vernon for study, not just the one currently accompanying you — similar to how it works with horses.
Other Baits Improvements
- Now you can craft tier 2 baits from the very beginning. You can just skip tier 1 animals and lure tier 2!
- Tier 5 baits can now be crafted faster!
- Crafting baits for all wolves and lynxes has become faster!
- You now have up to 5 minutes to leave the location with your newly lured furry friend instead of just 1.5 minutes.
- Henry the Stumble now sells various types of bait as well as a Chest with a pet module for gold.
- The top naturalists of the Wild West have created universal baits that can lure any animal (excluding alligators) of the corresponding tier. Even better, animals lured with these baits will instantly adapt when they arrive at your home! You can obtain these baits through special events, the Battle Pass, or by purchasing them in the game shop.
- To balance all the changes mentioned above, the amount of meat required to craft baits for tiers 4-6 has been increased.
Increased Chances of Luring Fertile Animals
- The chance of finding a fertile tier 3 pet has nearly doubled, while the chance for a tier 4 pet has increased tenfold! Additionally, the chance of finding a fertile tier 5 animal has been slightly boosted.
- As for bears, the chances are slightly lower but still much higher than before. The chance of finding a fertile tier 3 bear has increased by 1.5 times, while for tier 4 bears, the chance has increased sevenfold!
Breeding Improvements
- Now a newborn pet's tier will always be equal to or higher than that of its parents. The chance of a tier downgrade is now zero!
- Pets born on the ranch will no longer start at level 1; instead, they’ll begin just 20 levels below the maximum, allowing you to level them up to the max much faster and unlock breeding sooner.
- Breeding time is now tier-dependent. It has been significantly reduced for tiers 1-2.
- Plus, you can now quickly purchase the fertility elixir directly from the Pet House menu.
Other Pet-Related Changes
- Regeneration: Pet health recovery now scales with the level of your Pet House. The regeneration rate is now equal to the Pet House level, meaning at the maximum level 6, your pets will regenerate health at a rate of 6 HP per minute.
- Happy Paw Can Upgrade: From now on, canned food will speed up all ongoing processes in the Pet House, including adaptation, breeding, and growth. Each consumed can of food provides a 1-hour acceleration to these activities.
- Healing Crackers: Crafting now requires healing herbs instead of infusions.
- Easier Start: The level 1 Pet House now requires only 4 bowls instead of 6.
- Faster Learning: Pets now gain experience 3 times faster than the player during combat.
- Easy Heal: A convenient quick heal button has been added to the pet interface. If you have a healing item available, it will be used; if not, you'll have the option to purchase one with just a few taps.
- Convenient Bait Purchase: You can now purchase bait directly from the Encyclopedia table at your Ranch.
- Bring Pets to Naturalists Without Leveling: Bonus for maxed level has been removed.
- Meat Satiation Bonus Adjusted: The satiation effect of Tier 4-6 meat has been slightly reduced to ensure more balanced progression, especially since feeding is now less crucial for pets.
New Modules (Gears)

New Horse Saddles
Your loyal steeds deserve the best harness. Now, you can craft awesome saddles that boost your horse's stats and increase their saddlebag capacity!
The higher the tier and rarity of the saddle, the more stats it boosts and the more extra slots it unlocks. To craft a better saddle, you need the previous one, allowing you to progress from the simplest to the best. Note that saddles of the same tier but different rarities look the same. Rare saddles have one more slot than uncommon ones of the same tier.
Saddles are universal and can be used for all your horses, both riding and draft. You don't need to craft saddles for each horse individually! To equip a saddle, simply place it in the designated slot. When you switch horses, the new horse will automatically equip the active saddle.
Saddles you can have:
- Cutting Saddle (common, T3)
- Stock Saddle (uncommon, T3)
- Сheyenne Saddle (rare, T3)
- Trail Saddle (uncommon, T4)
- Hope Saddle (rare, T4)
- Swamp Saddle (uncommon, T5)
- Wade Saddle (rare, T5)
- McClellan Saddle (uncommon, T6)

New region: Boreal Wilds!
This vast wilderness presents a wealth of opportunities. Prepare to venture into this distant territory!
To help you get on your journey faster, additional vaccines will be sent to the high-level players (lvl110+).
Features of the Region
The Boreal Wilds are an even colder region than the Rocky Mountains you've visited before. Before setting out on a journey here, it's important to prepare well and understand what to expect.
- Frost — The further north you go, the colder it becomes. Dress warmly and take some hearty meal with you to avoid getting cold. It's also important to note that just like in the Rocky Mountains Region, here you can only run, ride by horse, or travel by wagon.
- Strong winds — At times, it can get quite windy here. You'll move more slowly against the wind but pick up speed if the wind is at your back.
- Snowdrifts — The snow piles up into deep snowdrifts quite often here. Moving through deep snow is slow. However, once you or anyone else creates pathways, you can run on them at your normal speed.
- Wolf packs — Wolves in packs are always loyal to the leader. They will only obey someone whose Spirit is strong enough to tame the entire pack at once!

- Tungsten gunparts — Components needed for making high-quality powerful firearms.
- Tungsten tools — High-strength tungsten tools. Required for building and upgrading workshops.
- Electrical toolset — Kit containing various electrical tools and measurement devices, designed for electrical works. Can be obtained only in Teklanika and from Adam MacCoy for the pure Gold.
New locations for exploration
The further you get from Teklanika, the colder it becomes. Make sure to wear warm clothes and eat well before you start your trip.
- Boreal Forest — The place where you can chop some Alder. But beware of Alaskan wolves and other predators!
- Glacier Lake — This cold area is teeming with wildlife, with the Kodiak bear being the most dangerous among them. It’s the best place to get some Stout hides and Weasel fur.
- Denali Mountain — This is the northernmost and coldest location in the region. Here, a strong piercing wind almost always blows, and there's plenty of snow. However, it's also the best place to find Marble, Tungsten ore and Iron ore deposits.
It's said that further north, in an old abandoned mine, hides a camp of local bandits. But it's better not to venture there just yet. You will be able to explore it later.
Teklanika
Born as a prospector's hub, Teklanika thrived due to its mild climate and prime location. The town also has a cozy bar and traders. Here’s a list of the people and places that you should pay attention to in Teklanika:
- Smoke London, adventurer — a prospector, scout, and entrepreneur. He is happy to guide you in a new place.
- Elias McKenzie, barman — He believes that ale is valued more than gold! Step into the bar for a bit of warmth and hearty meals that'll warm you up and restore your vigor.
- Mary-Ann Stone, trader — In these lands of harsh nature, only top-notch equipment is worthy of your choice. So speak to Mary-Ann if you agree that quality is always better than quantity.
- Prospectors Pantry — A little repair, and it could become an excellent place for storing goods and resources.
Although the vaccine has been delivered to Teklanika, a significant part of it remains under quarantine. The bridge is raised, so entry is currently not possible.
New animals
The region boasts diverse and... hungry wildlife. Local predators are always on the lookout, so you'll need to stay vigilant. Unfortunately, taming animals in this area isn't an option at the moment. You'll have to be patient while your naturalist friends study the necessary baits and share their expertise with you. However, cowboys with the high Spirit can temporarily turn local predators into friends as usual.
- Alaskan wolf — A skilled predator of the region, is known for its adaptability and hunting prowess.
- Alaskan alpha wolf — The leader of the pack is a dominant and skilled hunter in the region.
- Alaskan Lynx — A stealthy and elusive predator, is known for its tufted ears.
- North American cougar — A solitary and powerful predator, is recognized for its sleek appearance and hunting prowess.
- Kodiak bear — The world's largest brown bear subspecies, is known for its size and distinctive hump.
- Walrus — A massive marine mammal, is distinguished by its long tusks.
- Caribou — Known for their large antlers and endurance, are a prominent species in the region's wildlife.
- Weasel — A small and agile animal, well-known for its soft fur.
New bandits
Individuals with a hunger for others' property can be found everywhere, and this region is not an exception. Unlucky gold prospectors, former whalers, and just villains of various sorts form gangs and roam the outskirts of Teklanika, waiting for vulnerable merchants and unwary adventurers.
- Burglars — Gang leaders. They are pretty dangerous opponents!
- Steel Stompers — These giants have a mortar-size shotguns and body armor. They are slow but so determined that they won't pay attention to your pet's attacks.
- Snipers — Outlaws armed with long-range rifles who attempt to eliminate you from a distance.
- Miners — They will attempt to crush your bones with a large pickaxe, and if that fails, they will resort to using a knife.
- Whalers — Now their harpoons are aimed at you.
- Poachers — Beware of their arrows!
- Knackers — Yet another kind of bandits.
- Watchdogs — They often accompany bandit patrols. Outlaws feed them poorly, so dogs are more than willing to devour you.
Well, now, these local bandits are as tough as a bull in a rodeo. So, it's best to put your efforts into Ranch improvements. With all new resources, you'll find a heap of fresh opportunities awaiting you!
Electrifying Westland
There is some exciting news for you! Your friend engineer Gustav Stein received experimental blueprints from his friend Edison for a completely unique device — a Fuel-Powered Generator! This contraption is capable of generating electricity right on your Ranch.
Well… Gustav was supposed to receive these blueprints. And now comes the bad news. The train that had to deliver them was robbed. The package itself has gone missing. Now, you'll have to track down the gang that pulled this off and retrieve the stolen blueprints!
Generator
The generator produces and stores electrical energy, which, in turn, is essential for crafting weapons, armor, and Tier 6 secondary resources on your Ranch!
Once you successfully complete the task and retrieve the stolen blueprints, you'll be able to build a real electricity generator on your Ranch! This generator can run on any fuel. Gustav will give you some Crude Oil, which is incredibly efficient but challenging to obtain. But even if it runs out, don't worry. Any Coal will also work, although you'll need more of it for the generator to run smoothly. The higher the tier of Coal the more its efficiency will be.
Let's clarify, the Generator can run on:
- Charcoal.
- Brown Coal.
- Coal.
- Crude Oil.
Production limits
- Better fuel, more kW/h — Better fuel lets you produce more electricity.
- Production queue — You can assign as many tasks for Tier 6 production as many kW/h of electricity you have at the moment. Set your priorities wisely!
- Tier 1-5 production remained unchanged! — Production of resources and items of tiers 1-5 does not require electricity, even if your workbench is upgraded to level 6. Production of resources and items of levels 1-5 works as before, with different workbenches able to work in parallel.
Tier 6 Ranch Improvements
As you already know, the first and most significant addition to your Ranch is the Generator. But that's not all of the available improvements. Now is the time to start upgrading your workbenches so they can produce tier 6 items. Also, be sure to enhance your Storages facilities to gain additional space for new resources and items!
Currently, you can upgrade most of your Workbenches, all Storages, and Chests to level 6.
In the further updates, an upgrade to the next level will also be added to the:
- Rest of the workbenches (Repair bench, Dismantling bench, Bait Workbench, Laboratory)
- Projects (Chicken Coop, Cowshed, Stables, Barn and Fields)
Tier 6 craft
It's time to move on to the most juicy part — the new weapons, armor, and items that have been introduced in the game! In this update, you will have access to common and uncommon items with the exception of two rare backpacks featuring a special pocket for 5 specific items. New tubes
To improve your common tier 6 weapons and armor and be able to craft uncommon ones, you'll need to start by finding the appropriate blueprints. You can acquire them from the familiar blueprints (starting from character level 100) and unique Boreal tubes.
- Common boreal tubes — contain common tier 6 blueprints, may contain uncommon tier 6 blueprints. Boreal tubes are available in the shop and through special activities.
- Boreal tubes of other rarities will appear in further updates.

***
Well, isn't that something! Pretty good to start with. But that's not all! This is just the first part of tier 6. In upcoming updates, there will be even more weapons and armor, new construction upgrades, and of course, the Bandit camp. But now, let's move on to the second part of our global update!

Encyclopedia
The Encyclopedia is your workbench and the place where a wealth of knowledge about the world of Westland is gathered, which you will acquire throughout your adventures. This knowledge will come in handy multiple times, so if you haven't built this table yet, hurry up and construct the Encyclopedia by switching to building mode. The Encyclopedia is located in the same tab as all other workbenches.
Initially, you will only have access to a Level 1 Encyclopedia. In it, you will find the Achievements and Dishes tabs available to you.
To unlock the Animals and Baits tabs, you will need to complete "Paws in troubles" questline from naturalists Vernon and Joy Riley. Sheriff Schultz will inform you of the need to assist them once you reach the required level.
Achievements
Most of your activities in the game are honored with special achievements that can be displayed to other players. All achievements are categorized based on the type of cowboy activity. There are several categories of achievements in the game. You can explore the achievements, their names, and conditions for them here, in Encyclopedia.
And how about flaunting your achievements in front of your fellow cowboys? In the Encyclopedia, you can also manage which achievements you want to display by your nickname everywhere the other players see it – the chat, on the leaderboards, in Alliance’s interfaces, in Silverton, and other settlements. Depending on the level of your Encyclopedia, you can show up to 5 of your most impressive achievements.
Dishes
The Encyclopedia contains all the information about dishes, their ingredients, and the bonuses they grant.
Besides providing valuable information, the Encyclopedia helps you keep track of the dishes you've already tried and the ones you haven't. This knowledge is crucial the first time you consume a dish; it grants your character a permanent buff!
Animals and Baits
After completing "Paws in troubles" questline, you will be able to upgrade the Encyclopedia to the 2nd level and unlock the Animals and Baits tabs. They allow you to track learned baits and explore the variety of Westland’s fauna! Browse through the tabs of Encyclopedia to see what animals you can lure. What baits do they react to? What are their primary skills? All that info is available at the Naturalist Desk!
🐺 Naturalist tip: Long tap on the animal’s skill to learn what it is all about! |

Spirit Cave
The Spirit Cave is an ancient and enigmatic location where mysterious events unfold. This place is imbued with a mystical energy that has the power to strengthen you and bestow upon you extraordinary abilities. Hidden within its depths are the great treasures of the Native Americans, carefully concealed in chests. However, the cave is far from deserted. It's guarded by the spirits of fallen warriors and mythical creatures, all dedicated to protecting the cave's secrets. As you navigate this mystical place, prepare to encounter these formidable guardians and uncover the hidden wonders of the Spirit Cave!
Spirit Cave is a regularly recurring activity, available every 2 days to everyone starting from level 35. For those who don't want to wait, there's an option to speed up the timer for a modest fee.
Rooms and foes
The Spirit Cave is divided into different rooms, each with its own exciting battle. Beat the enemies in one room to go to the next one and choose a new ability. Get ready to fight not only spirits but also scary mythical creatures. Make sure to defeat them with different weapons and abilities combinations!
Fear not if defeated; you won't die. Instead, you'll remain standing with 1 HP.
The difficulty of Spirit Cave is determined by the League you compete in. There are Bronze, Silver, and Gold leagues, each containing multiple divisions. Your character level determines your initial division, ranging from Bronze 5 to Silver 1. As you advance, both the challenge and the number of rooms increase; you will face more enemies, and they will become stronger and more variable.
- Bronze League — 9 rooms and 3 bosses.
- Silver League — 12 rooms and 4 bosses.
- Gold League — 15 rooms and 5 bosses.
Future battles define your place within your group. The League determines the size of the group you get sorted into.
Abilities
The Spirit Cave gameplay is centered around exclusive special abilities. To begin, you select one ability from a randomized set of three and then construct your ability tree from that point onward.
Common Abilities

This location has a 2-day cooldown, but you can reset for a couple of silver coins.
Waves
- Waves 1-3 — This is a not very complicated intro to give you a chance to prepare for more advanced enemies. The difficulty grows gradually.
- Wave 4 — The 1st Boss fight.
- Wave 5 — You will face a large number of fast but low HP enemies. A good hummer or a shotgun would be useful for you to win this wave.
- Wave 6 — You will have to kill 5 Dsonokvas as fast as possible before they cast a powerful AOE-burst. In case you have survived after the first blast, they will start casting it once again. A powerful rifle or a gun will be the best choice to pass this wave successfully.
- Wave 7 — Survive fighting various enemies and do your best to avoid contact with Buffalo.
- Wave 8 — 2nd Boss fight. In case you have won all of the 8 waves you will face another 8 with increased difficulty. The total number of waves is infinite!
Bosses
Wendigo — you will see two ghosts. If you attack one of them it will try to run away, but the second one will try to hurt you. And every hit will summon a new immortal ghost attacking you. You can attack only the first ghost. When the first ghost loses more than 50% of HP, it will turn into Wendigo and start attacking you as well. The best strategy is to kill the boss using powerful attacks as fast as possible. Don’t try to kill other ghosts. They will disappear right after Wendigo's death.
Uktena — when moving, Uktena leaves a fire trail. It will hurt you if you try to cross it. The best strategy here is to hit’n’run, trying to ‘kite’ the boss and to avoid the fire trail.
Piasa — Beware of the Piasa! This new boss loves to attack from the rear and deals lots of area damage. It can appear on each 4th or 8th wave.
Dsonokva — It looks scarier from a distance than it really is in close combat. Get your melee weapon ready! It can appear on each 4th or 8th wave. |
Canyon Trials Leaderboard
Canyon Trials Leaderboard participants compete within Leagues. There are Bronze, Silver, and Gold Leagues with 5 divisions in each of them.
Your first run in the Canyon Trials is considered a qualifying run. Your performance in that run determines which league you are placed in, with the highest possible placement being Gold 5.
Future battles defines your place within your group. The size of the group is determined by the League you get sorted into.
Canyon Trials Leaderboard refreshes every 6 days. The new competition will begin in 24 hours after the previous one ends.
Let’s make it clear how to get to the top of the Canyon Trials Leaderboard.
- Only the best of your completed attempts during the weekly period counts in the Canyon Trials Leaderboard. E.g. if you fought three times during the period and got 97, 101, and 98 points, then your maximum score is 101. And 101 is your result in the Leaderboard.
- You get points for every killed creature in the Canyon. The tougher the foe, the more points you get for dealing with them!
- Additional points are given for the time it takes to deal with enemy waves. The faster you are, the more points you get!
Rewards
You get rewards both for completing each Canyon Trials fight and for your place in leaderboard by the end of the 6 days competitions.
- Rewards for each fight: Rings of power, Refined sugar and Silver coins;
- Leaderboard rewards: Gold Nuggets (starting from Gold League), Native American weapons, armor and tubes, rare tubes and useful resources.
Leaderboards
Competitions hold great appeal for cowboys. Each one seeks to showcase their daring spirit and clinch prized rewards. In Westland Survival, players can participate in three distinct competitions, each with its own leaderboard:
- Gold Rush
- Canyon Trails
- Spirit Cave
Gold Rush
Gold Rush is a special Alliances competition. Gold Rush Leaderboard is the only way of getting Alliance resources, ensuring that every participant — both as an individual and a member of the Alliance — gets a guaranteed reward!
How to take part in Gold Rush Leaderboards:
- Join or create an Alliance.

- Buy a lead to a rival’s base from Slick Johnny!
Get more Gold Nuggets than your rivals to progress in Divisions and Leagues and get more rewards! It doesn't matter if you get your Gold Nuggets from the Gold Mine or from raiding the rivaling Alliance bases — both of these methods will do. The higher your place in Divisions and Leagues, the tougher the competition and the better the rewards!
If you don’t make a single attack during the set time period, you won’t be considered a participant, even if your mine will be producing Gold Nuggets.
The Gold Rush leaderboard starts each Tuesday (12:00 UTC), and ends on Monday (12:00 UTC). The new competition will begin 24 hours after the previous one ends. |
Canyon Trials
Canyon is a magical place where you can pass hard trials to get awesome rewards.

Fear not if defeated; you won't die. Instead, you'll remain standing with 1 HP.
The Canyon Trials leaderboard starts each Thursday (12:00 UTC), and ends on Wednesday (12:00 UTC). The new competition will begin 24 hours after the previous one ends. |
Spirit Cave
Spirit Cave is a regularly recurring activity, available every 2 days to everyone starting from level 35. For those who don't want to wait, there's an option to speed up the timer for a modest fee, like in Canyon Trials.
How to take part in Quest Boar Leaderboards:
- Go to the Spirit Cave location.
- Interact with the Altar in the middle of the room.
- Choose the first special ability and go forward to the battle rooms.
The Spirit Cave gameplay is centered around exclusive special abilities. To begin, you select one ability from a randomized set of three and then construct your ability tree from that point onward.
Instead, you'll remain standing with 1 HP, much like in the Canyon Trials.
The Spirit Cave leaderboard starts each Saturday (12:00 UTC), and ends on Friday (12:00 UTC). The new competition will begin 24 hours after the previous one ends. |
Buff System
Your tactics should rely on the consumption of food and drinks, each granting various buffs to enhance your character's abilities.
- All types of food and drinks add permanent buffs and temporarily increase the maximum health of the character.
- Uncommon food and drinks offer additional bonuses, such as fighting regional challenges or increasing the speed of resource gathering!
- Rare food and drinks provide even greater benefits, enhancing combat parameters in addition to increasing maximum health. It is best consumed during the most challenging battles, such as Canyon Trials, Alliance Gold Rush raids, and fights in the most difficult Bandit camps.
Buff durations
You need to eat and drink to become stronger and face tough challenges. Each dish offers a dual benefit, providing a permanent buff upon initial consumption and a temporary buff during every consumption. Temporary buff remains active for a specified duration, divided into distinct stages.
- Full Power — the buff is at its maximum strength and lasts for 30 minutes after consuming food or drink.
- Decreasing Bonus — a short period at the end of the buff's effect, during which its impact gradually diminishes to avoid the sudden weakening of the character in combat.
- Neutral — the bonus from food or drink has ceased to have an effect.
- Weakened — the character has been without food or water for over 25 hours and is affected by hunger and/or thirst debuffs.
Please note!
After applying a buff to your character, the timer will continue running in all scenarios, whether you are on a location, the global map, or even offline. If you are planning a lengthy expedition or expect to take breaks from the game, it's essential to carry an adequate supply of food and drinks with you.
Your character can simultaneously receive bonuses from 2 different foods and just 1 drink. If you eat more dishes, their effect may:
- Replace one of the already consumed food.
- Extend the duration of the current buff to the maximum if the new food is similar to the one already eaten.
The effects of drinks work in a similar way, with the only difference being that your character can have a bonus from only one drink at a time.
Debuffs
Debuffs in the game are seamlessly integrated into the Buff system, ensuring clear visibility whenever your character is affected.
- Hunger — If your character goes without any food for 25 hours, their attack power will be reduced. The debuff will be instantly replaced with a buff as soon as the character eats something.
- Thirst — If your character goes without any drink for 25 hours, their healing effectiveness will be reduced. The debuff will be instantly replaced with a buff as soon as the character drinks something.
- Bleeding — gradual health loss over a period of time after being wounded.
- Cold — May take place in the northern region. A character without cold protection will experience a rapid reduction in the duration of the food buff. As soon as the buff disappears, the character starts freezing. The cold is less dangerous now and no longer paralyzes the frozen character. Now, it only significantly slows down the character's movement.
- Heat — May take place in the southern region, located beyond the River crossing. A character lacking heat protection will quickly reduce the duration of the drink buff. Once the buff disappears, the character starts feeling the heat. An overheated character slows down just like when freezing.
- Stunning — inability to move and attack.
- Intoxication — impaired movement coordination after excessive whiskey consumption.
- Slowing — reduced movement speed.
- Healing Debuff — can occur from mosquito bites, affecting the effectiveness of healing.
