Combat in Westland Survival depends on both armor protection and using the right weapon against the right enemy. Choosing appropriate gear for each situation helps you deal more damage, survive longer, and spend fewer resources during fights.
Armor
— Armor reduces the damage your character receives from enemy attacks.
— Each armor piece protects only the body part where it is equipped. Firearm resistance from armor applies per slot rather than covering the entire body with a single item.
— Higher-tier armor provides better overall defense and is recommended for more dangerous regions.
Weapon Effectiveness
— Different weapons are more effective against specific enemy types.
— Using the right weapon allows you to defeat enemies faster and reduce durability loss on your gear.
— Rifles, Sabers, Spears, Harpoons — increase your damage by up to 50% against animals.
— Pistols, Revolvers, Knives — increase your damage by up to 50% against bandits.
— Shotguns — do not have increased damage against a specific enemy type. Instead, they deal area damage, allowing you to hit multiple enemies at once.
⚠️ Certain skills can increase the number of enemies hit or widen the firing cone, making shotguns especially effective against groups and swarms.
