A backpack allows you to carry more of your precious loot by providing additional inventory slots. Advanced backpacks can also grant extra benefits such as additional protection, movement bonuses, and other buffs.
Backpack Mechanics
— Backpacks cannot be damaged during combat. However, they lose durability when your character dies.
— A backpack’s durability cannot drop below 5%, so it will never be completely destroyed.
— When a backpack loses durability, some backpack slots will be locked until the backpack is repaired.
— Backpacks can always be repaired at your Ranch in Repair Bench or a Repair Kit and can be repaired by Santiago Garcia in Silverton.
— Backpacks provide basic defense and may also grant various buffs.
— To craft a backpack, you must unlock the Backpack skill in the Craftsman Skill Tree.
Backpack Rarities
There are three standard backpack rarities:

Unique Backpacks
Unique backpacks can be obtained through the in-game store, limited-time events, or seasonal tracks. These backpacks are usually limited or event-exclusive.
