Howdy, partners!

The Frontier Games lineup is expanding with a new fishing adventure: Fishing Frenzy. This time, you’ll head into the Marshlands and chase the highest score from a fishing boat. The update also brings several smaller improvements across Westland.

Fishing Frenzy

In Fishing Frenzy, the goal is simple: catch as much valuable fish as you can before time runs out. Sell your haul at the pier and use the money to upgrade your boat, opening the way to better catches and more points.

As with other Frontier Games, there’s also a place in Silverton at stake: finish 1st on the leaderboard to take the Huntmaster’s place.

Here’s a closer look at how Fishing Frenzy works:

Catch Fish — Row through the Marshlands and bring your boat close enough to fish to catch them. Space on board is limited, and some fish will be too heavy to lift at first (more on upgrades below).

Sell Your Catch — When your boat starts filling up, head back to the pier and sell your haul. Use the money you earn to upgrade your boat before heading back onto the water.

Watch Out for Hazards — The Marshlands aren’t completely peaceful. Avoid drifting branches and stay clear of alligators roaming the deeper waters. Hitting an obstacle can slow you down, while an alligator can even cost you part of your catch and break your streak.

Upgrade Your Boat — You decide how to upgrade your boat and which approach works best for you. Increase its capacity to carry more fish, speed to move faster, catch radius to reach fish from farther away, or lifting power to handle heavier and more valuable catches. Experiment with different combinations and find the strategy that works best for you.

Grab Floating Chests — Keep an eye out for chests drifting across the water. Pick them up to get extra Cash along the way.

Note: All upgrades reset when the attempt ends.

Fishing Frenzy starts on September 14th, so jump in, experiment with different upgrades, and be sure to share your feedback on the new Game!

Other Improvements

A few additional changes are also coming to make different parts of Westland clearer and smoother.

Bleeding Effect — The Bleeding icon will now appear properly below your health bar, making it easier to understand why your HP is going down.

Clearer Frontier Games Info — Frontier Games rules will be easier to check thanks to a dedicated info window covering the essentials, including where to get Tickets, how to use them, and how the competition works.

Frontier Games Animations — Fixed an issue that could affect the character’s idle animation with two-handed weapons after playing a Frontier Game.

Animal Breeding — Newly selected animals are now displayed correctly in the breeding window.

Wiki Button — The Wiki button now leads to the correct Westland Survival Wiki.
