Howdy, partners!
This update adds more reasons to take on the Frontier Games. Albums bring a new collection goal and extra rewards to every cycle, while Storage Modules add a long-awaited way to expand your storages. Leaderboard rewards and the competition for Silverton roles are changing too, with Stable Siege joining the rotation in the next cycle.
Albums
Each 4-week Frontier Games cycle now comes with an Album containing 6 themed puzzles, all available from the start.
Every day, the first 3 Tickets you spend in Frontier Games each grant one puzzle piece. Gather the missing pieces and place them into the right spots to finish each picture.
You may occasionally find a puzzle piece you’ve already collected. Duplicates won’t add to your progress and can’t be exchanged, so you’ll still need to find the missing pieces to complete the picture.
Each completed picture brings a reward. Prizes include healing items, tier-appropriate resource boxes, animal feed and Ranch supplies, useful crafting materials, and tickets.
Finish all 6 puzzles to claim the grand prize — a unique collectible Ranch decoration and a new achievement. Players below Tier 4 will also receive a weapon matching their tier, while players at Tier 4 and above will receive a Chest with a Storage Module of Tier 4.
A different set of puzzles and rewards will arrive with every new 4-week Frontier Games cycle.
Storage Modules
Storage Modules add a new way to increase the capacity of your storages.
Each module is made for a specific type of storage. Storage Modules start at Tier 3 and add at least 5 extra slots, with the exact bonus depending on the storage type and module tier. Higher-tier modules provide even more space.
Starting at Tier 4, Frontier Games reward tracks offer Chest with a Storage Module. The Free and Premium tracks contain Tier 3 modules. The Elite track grants a Tier 4 module, and completing the Album also grants a Tier 4 module.
You can raise their tier by visiting Finn Welder in Silverton. The familiar rule stays the same: exchange 3 modules of one tier for 1 module of the next. Storage Modules can be upgraded all the way to Tier 7.
To start using Storage Modules, unlock the first Module slot in the Skill Tree. You can open a second slot for 300 Gold. And unlike Workbench Modules, you can place two identical Storage Modules into the same storage.
Frontier Games: More Rewards, New Rules
Several Frontier Games changes are already coming in the current cycle. More leaderboard positions now come with rewards and recognition, while NPCs will put up a fight for their Silverton roles.
Here’s a closer look at what’s changing:
More Cowboys in the Spotlight
More leaderboard positions now come with a place in the spotlight. Starting this week, the unique pet skin goes to the Top 30 instead of only the Top 10.
Finish 4th–10th, and you’ll also become a Saloon Regular for a week — your character will be hanging out in the Silverton Saloon for other players to see.
NPCs Fight Back!
Taking over a Silverton role now requires beating the NPC who currently holds it — reaching the top is no longer enough on its own.
When a new leaderboard begins, NPC portraits occupy the top 3 positions and show the minimum score needed to replace each one. Be the first to beat that score, and your portrait takes the NPC’s place. From there, players compete against each other for the top positions as usual.
New Cycle Starts October 5th
Unique pet skins normally rotate every 4 weeks, but the current Frontier Games cycle will be shorter than usual as Albums join the cycle system.
The next cycle starts on October 5th, bringing Stable Siege into the rotation along with the new Golden Wolf skin.
Stable Siege
A new Frontier Game is joining the rotation. Stable Siege starts on October 5th.
Bandits are coming for the horses, and your goal is to keep the stable standing as the attack grows tougher.
— Earn Money — Take down bandits and spend your earnings on upgrades that help you hold the line as the attack continues.
— Build Defensive Structures — Choose what fits the situation. Gatling speeds up the longer it stays on target, Mortar damages groups of enemies, and Shooter Tower works especially well against armored opponents.
— Upgrade Your Gear & Defenses — Gain experience during the run and choose improvements for your equipment, defensive structures, barricades, income, and dynamite, or call in a helper.
— Use Dynamite — When too many enemies break through at once, throw dynamite to clear some space and regain control.
Keep the stable standing and push your score as high as possible. Finish 1st on the leaderboard to take the Stable Master’s place in Silverton.
Other Improvements
A few additional changes are coming to make different parts of Westland clearer and smoother.
— Frontier Games Screen — The main Frontier Games screen now focuses on preparing for the run, with boosters available before the battle. Competitions have moved to the dedicated Competitions window and will become available after you complete the main Frontier Games progression.
— Banknote Purchases — Direct Banknote spending now asks for confirmation first, helping prevent accidental purchases.
— Spirit Cave — Perk descriptions now have more space, making longer texts easier to read.
