A character’s power and overall progression in Westland Survival are shaped by their stats and learned skills.
You can find your character’s stats in the Inventory, displayed directly below the hero’s avatar.
There are four core attributes that define your performance in combat and exploration:
- Damage
- Attack Speed
- Defense
- Spirit
Each of these affects your gameplay in a different way.
Damage
Damage determines how much damage your character deals with all types of weapons, including unarmed attacks. Higher Damage means faster enemy elimination and more efficient combat overall.
Speed
Speed will increase your attack speed and DPS (Damage Per Second).
Tip: Upon tapping and holding any weapon in your Inventory, you can see its speed.
Defense
Defense reduces the amount of incoming damage. The best way to increase your Defense is to wear armor.
Spirit
Spirit determines your ability to tame and control animals found throughout Westland. The more Spirit you have, the stronger (and more numerous) creatures you can tame.
When you tame an animal, the required Spirit points are temporarily reserved. These points are released once the animal dies or you leave the location. If you have enough Spirit, you can even control multiple creatures at the same time.
You cannot manually dismiss a tamed creature. The only way to release it is to leave or re-enter the current location.
Tip: Tamed animals draw enemy attention, allowing you to attack safely while your allies take the hits.
How to increase your stats
Your character can increase all four main stats through equipment and consumable items, but true long-term progression comes from the skill trees.
Skill trees become available at level 15. Once unlocked, they can be accessed from the Inventory by tapping the book icon next to your character’s stats.
Skills provide permanent stat bonuses, unlock special abilities, and open access to new gameplay mechanics.
Together, skill trees define your character’s development and let you customize your hero and their stats to match your preferred playstyle.
