Clearing this location grants access to the Tier 3 northern region, so before heading to the Snowy Pass, make sure to bring several pickaxes.
This is also the first location where you will encounter cold weather. If your character does not have enough Warmth, movement speed will be reduced. To avoid this, equip warm clothing or eat food.
Once the road is cleared, access to the northern regions becomes permanent, and the passage will not need to be cleared again.
