The world of Westland Survival consists of several regions. Each region contains different locations where you can gather resources, fight enemies, and complete quests. The difficulty and resources of locations increase with each new tier.
 

Starting Region(T1)

This is the first area available to new players. Here you learn the basic survival mechanics and gather early resources.

Weather: mild climate with no special weather hazards.

Your Ranch

A key location in the game — the main character's home. A safe place that allows you to build up the ranch, craft items, cook, and take quests. Spawn-place for the character.

— Peaceful location, but can be attacked by a group of bandits.

Silverton

There are multiple houses: a Saloon, a Barbershop, a Safecracker's house, and a Sheriff's office. You can exchange with traders, complete daily quests, and change your character's appearance.

Pine Forest

A forest location with different kinds of trees (mostly Pine). You can cut down trees, mine ore and rocks, collect herbs and berries, and open chests. There is a chance to get a local quest.

Forest Lake

Location next to player's Home. There's a lake with some trees and rocks around. You can cut down trees, mine ore and rocks, collect herbs, berries, etc.

— Enemies: low-level (small packs of wolves, bandits).

— Resources: tier 1-2

Stone Plateau

Location with rocky cliffs. You can cut down trees, mine ore and rocks, collect herbs, berries, open chests. There is a chance to get a local quest.

Copper Mine

The location is in the south, next to the Stone plateau. You can cut down trees, mine ore and rocks, collect herbs, berries, etc. There is a chance to get a local quest.

Central Region(T2)

The Central Region expands the map and introduces stronger enemies and additional resource locations.

Weather: generally stable conditions without major environmental dangers.

Dense Forest

A forest location by the river. You can cut down trees, mine ore and rocks, collect herbs, berries, etc. There is a chance to get a local quest.

Oak Forest

A forest location with different kinds of trees (oak, pine). You can cut down trees, mine ore and rocks, collect herbs and berries, and open chests. There is a chance to get a local quest.

Foggy Lake

The location is by the river next to the River crossing. You can cut down trees, mine ore and rocks, collect herbs and berries, and open chests.

Foggy Plateau

Location with rocky cliffs. You can cut down trees, mine ore and rocks, collect herbs and berries, and open chests. There is a chance to get a local quest.

Tin Mine

Location next to the Snowy Pass. You can mine ore and rocks and open chests. There is a chance to get a local quest.

Recommended equipment: at least tier 2

Dried Forest

A forest location with dried trees. You can cut down trees, mine ore and rocks, collect herbs, berries, etc. There is a chance to get a local quest.

Naturalists' Camp

Vernon and Joy Railey do their research here. Vernon collects and keeps records of samples, and Joy takes care of the animals.

Stone Outpost

Bandit's camp with groups of bandits.

— Cooldown: 7 days

— The main goal: gun down everyone including a Leader.

— Enemies: bandits, wolves.

— Minimum player level: 30

— Difficulty: medium

Canyon Trials

This Native Americans' mystical place to test your skills by surviving multiple enemy attacks. It is the only location where jewelry can be obtained.

There's a Canyon with an Altar in the middle. You need to activate the Altar using 6 rings. Once it activates, various enemies will attack you. Each wave of enemies is different.

— Cooldown: 2 days

— The main goal: complete as many waves as possible and get valuable rewards.

— Recommended equipment: depends on the wave.

— Better having multiple sets of clothing, weapons, and healing stuff.

Spirit Cave

Mystery Cave is full of ghosts and mythical monsters. The only place in the game where you can get mystical abilities.

— Cooldown: 2 days

— The main goal: complete as many rooms as possible and get valuable rewards.

— Recommended player level: 15

— Recommended equipment: depends on the wave.

— Better having multiple sets of clothing, weapons, and healing stuff.

Rocky Mountains (T3)

Rocky Mountains introduce tougher bandits and new crafting materials required for mid-game progression.

Weather: colder mountain climate. Warm clothing may be required in some areas.

Mountain Tribe

Snowy-friendly location - a small village of Indigenous people. There are 4 characters that you can interact with:

— Ayasha Nodin — she can help you to forge a better Ring.

— Citlali Elan — she can help you to forge an Amulet.

— Anakvad — a trader that exchanges claws and fangs for valuable resources.

— Chi Binesi — a trader who can sell equipment for the cold region

Snowy Maple Forest

Snowy forest. You can cut down trees, mine ore and rocks, collect herbs, berries, open chests. There is a chance to get a local quest.

— Recommended equipment: warm clothes tier 3-4

Mountain lake

The location is on the north. There's a lake with some trees and rocks around. You can cut down trees, collect herbs, berries, etc.

— Recommended equipment: at least tier 3

Highlands

Snowy location with rocky cliffs. You can cut down trees, mine ore and rocks, collect herbs, berries, open chests. There is a chance to get a local quest.

— Recommended equipment: warm clothes at least tier 3

Iron mine

Snowy mine. You can mine ore and rocks, collect everything that lies on the ground and open chests. There is a chance to get a local quest.

— Recommended equipment: warm clothes, pickaxe

Mountain outpost 

Another bandit's camp with groups of bandits on the North. It is cold there!

— Cooldown: 7 days

— The main goal: gun down everyone including a Leader.

— Enemies: bandits, wolves.

— Recommended player level: 60

— Resources: tier 3-4

Cotton Plains (T4)

Cotton Plains contain stronger enemies and higher-tier resources needed for advanced crafting and equipment.

Weather: hot and dry climate. Protection from heat becomes important during long expeditions.

Trader House

There's a house with 2 traders inside. Both of them offer items/resources in exchange for Silver Coins.

Ash Grove

You can cut down trees, mine ore and rocks, collect herbs, berries, etc. There is a chance to get a local quest.
 

— Enemies: high-level (bandits, wild animals, Piasa)

— Resources: tier 4-5 (ash, larch, granite)

— Recommended player level: 75

Shallow Lake

The location is on the south, on the other side of the river. There's a lake with some trees and rocks around. You can cut down trees, collect herbs, berries, etc.

— Enemies: high-level (small packs of wolves, bandits).

— Resources: tier 3-5

Flooded Plateau

A plateau with lots of trees and bushes. You can also see water, among other objects. Sometimes it's raining.

Chromite Mine

Location in the South, next to Trader house. You can cut down trees, mine ore and rocks, collect herbs, berries, etc. There is a chance to get a local quest.

— Resources: tier 4-5 (chromite, granite, coal)

— Minimum player level: 80

Interfluve

Quite a dangerous bandit camp.

— Cooldown: 7 days

— The main goal: gun down everyone including a Leader.

— Enemies: bandits, wolves.

— Recommended player level: 85

— Resources: tier 4-5

Marshlands(T5)

The Marshlands are dangerous swamp territories with powerful enemies and rare materials.

Weather: humid and unstable environment that may affect visibility and combat conditions.

Deepwater

The capital of the Marshlands is filled with all sorts of people, beliefs, and secrets. The lawmen and the smugglers are keeping a fragile peace, while the townsfolk are trying to deal with the local cult followers.

Cypress swale

The swamps are the perfect region for the cypresses to grow tall and strong. Just take a look at this rich grove!

— Recommended equipment: tier 4 (min)

Bayou

‘Squish-squish’, — your boots say… Moving around such a place is definitely a challenge! Even though you are not going to drown in here, you should watch your every step.

— Enemies: high-level (small packs of wolves, bandits).

— Resources: tier 3-5

— Recommended player level: 95

— Recommended equipment: at least tier 3

Salt mine

The Salt mine was abandoned for many years. But it is still full of salt, marble and nickel. They say strange noises have been coming from the mine lately… If, or it’s better to say when, you will visit it grab not only pickaxes but some guns as well. Big guns!

Cultist Camp

This is the most dangerous camp.

— Enemies: cultists, alligators.

— Recommended player level: 110

— Recommended equipment: clothes tier 5

— Resources: tier 4-5

Boreal Wilds(T6)

The Boreal Wilds are harsh northern lands with advanced crafting resources.

Weather: extremely cold climate. Proper winter gear is required to avoid freezing.

Teklanika

Born as a prospector's hub, Teklanika thrived due to its mild climate and prime location. The town also has a cozy bar and traders.

Boreal Forest

The place where you can chop some Alder. But beware of Alaskan wolves and other predators!

Glacier Lake

This cold area is teeming with wildlife, with the Kodiak bear being the most dangerous among them. It’s the best place to get some Stout hides and Weasel fur.

Denali Mountain

This is the northernmost and coldest location in the region. Here, a strong piercing wind almost always blows, and there's plenty of snow. However, it's also the best place to find Marble, Tungsten ore and Iron ore deposits.

Diggers’ Den

An abandoned mining site now occupied by bandits searching for valuable ores and supplies.

— Enemies: Bandits, miners turned outlaws

— Recommended player level: 120

— Recommended equipment: Tier 6 gear

— Resources: tier 4-6

Rio Bravo Territory(T7)

Rio Bravo is a dangerous desert frontier with valuable high-tier resources.

Weather: extreme heat and desert conditions. Protection from heat and dehydration is essential.

Old Tascosa

A frontier town that serves as the main hub of the Rio Bravo Territory. Here you can find traders, quest givers, and prepare for expeditions into dangerous desert locations.

Oil Derrick

An abandoned oil extraction site in the Rio Bravo Territory. After completing the related quest, the area becomes safe and can be used to collect crude oil.

Sandscar Canyon

A rocky canyon filled with hostile bandits and dangerous wildlife. Narrow paths and ambush points make exploration risky.

Prickly Lake

A dry desert lake surrounded by cactus 

fields and hidden bandit camps. Valuable plants and rare materials can be found here.

Hell's Hollow

A harsh desert location known for frequent outlaw activity. Dangerous enemies guard valuable resources hidden across the area.

Old Mines

An abandoned mining complex deep in Rio Bravo. The tunnels are controlled by dangerous bandits guarding valuable minerals.

— Enemies: Miners turned bandits, elite guards
— Resources: tier 5-7
— Recommended player level: 130
— Recommended equipment: Tier 7 weapons and armor, strong firearms, healing items

Border Locations

Rocky pass

A snowy location that connects 2 sides of the global map: central and northern parts. Initially, it is caved in by the rocks, so you can't get up North. You need to clear your path by mining the rocks.

Border location to Rocky Mountains (Tier 3)

Old Bridge

A location that connects 2 sides of the global map: central and southern parts. Initially, there is a broken bridge which is why you can't cross the river. You need to fix the bridge to get on the other side and unlock your path to the South. There are also several trees and a couple of rocks.Later, building the railroad across the bridge becomes part of the storyline and opens the route to the 

Border location to Cotton Planes (Tier 4)/ Rio Bravo Territory (Tier 7)

Steamboat Pier

The steamboat La Belle regularly travels between the pier and Deepwater. Its Captain, Michel Lourie, is smuggling and knows the marshlands like the back of his hand.

Border location to Marshlands (Tier 5)

Worker Camp

You can take shelter in a tent here from bad weather or have some whiskey by the fire. But because of the frequent snowstorms, no wagon can get here.

Border location to Boreal Wilds (Tier 6)

Time-limited Events Locations

Broken stagecoach 

Appears only for new players or low-level players. It gives an opportunity to get more items/resources with no risk for new players. It disappears once the timer is over. Shows up only for low-level players. It has a lot of lootable objects (bags, chests, broken carts) that contain various loot.

— The main goal: loot as much as you can. 

— Enemies: none. 

— Recommended level: none. 

— Difficulty: easy. 

— It is better to go there with an empty inventory to grab everything you can.

Train attack  Appears randomly once in 2-3 days There's a train that was attacked by enemies. Once you clear the location from the enemies, you can open the chests that are scattered all over the place.
Shootout spot  Appears randomly once in 2-3 days. It's a field with dead bodies scattered all over the location. Weather conditions are dusty and windy.
This is the only place where you can find details for the Stable and Wagon building.
Emergency stop  Appears randomly once in 2-3 days. There are hostages (passengers) and a train that was attacked by a group of bandits. You have to gun down all the bandits and save the hostages. As a reward, you will be able to open chests (their luggage) and take supplies.
Old Road 

Appears randomly once in 2-3 days. A global map event where you must escort a supply wagon and protect it from bandits while it moves through the location. The wagon must reach the end of the route safely. 

⚠️Requires a draft horse with sufficient endurance to pull the wagon

Trader

Appears for a limited amount of time. There are 2 traders.

Mal Baynolds — The Smuggler offers you items in exchange for the ones you don't need.

Adam McCoy — Rarities Trader. The latest achievements in science and technology can be found in his store.

Other locations

Bandits' Stash

Shows up once you find the map. The map can be found during bandits' raid on your ranch. One of the attackers has the map of their Stash. If you managed to kill all of them — you'll find the map and reveal the Stash.

— Enemies: 1 watcher. 

— It is better to go there with empty inventory to grab everything you can.

Hideout

Temporary location with a group of bandits and their leader. Appears upon daily quests where you need to find map pieces and therefore locate the Hideout. Usually, there are a couple of buildings with lootable objects inside (chests, bags). You can break the walls and get into the buildings.

— The main goal: gun down all the bandits and your target - Gang leader 

— Enemies: bandits. 

Left wagon In case you left your Wagon in a temporary location that appears for a limited amount of time, you'll see a wagon in an empty place.
