When built on your Ranch, the Chicken Coop produces white meat — a Tier 2 food item you can use to feed your pets or cook at the Bonfire or the Kitchen.
Most of its mechanics are similar to the Cowshed. Here’s how it works:
To build the Chicken Coop, open Building Mode and go to the Projects tab. Place the project and interact with it to see what resources are required. Put all of them into the project until the Finalize button turns green. Tap Finalize, and the coop will be built immediately and ready to use.
For the Chicken Coop project, you will require 20 jute, 5 bronze tools, 5 oak boards, and 5 bronze fasteners.
Please note: to build and upgrade your Chicken Coop, you will need breeding roosters — the only unique resource required for the coop. They are rare and can be found at the Train Attack event on the Global Map, so keep an eye out when it appears.
Once the coop is built, it’s time to start producing white meat. The coop is fairly self-sufficient and only needs food. To begin production, interact with the coop and fill the feeder. You will see a list of food items that can be used. Tap any item to see how much it contributes to the feeder. Once filled, the coop begins producing meat automatically and shows how long the current food supply will last.
Upgrading your Chicken Coop improves it in several ways:
— Growth rate increases, so the coop produces more meat every 22 hours.
— Meat capacity increases, allowing the coop to store more meat before production pauses. Simply collect the meat to continue production.
— Feeder capacity expands, letting you add more food at once for longer, steady production.
And if you’re worried about bandits, don’t be — when they attack your Ranch, they’re after your valuables, not your chickens.
