When built on your Ranch, the Cowshed produces filet — a Tier 4 food item you can use to feed your pets or cook at the Bonfire or the Kitchen.
Most of its mechanics are similar to the Chicken Coop. Here’s how it works:
To build the Cowshed, open Building Mode and go to the Projects tab. Place the project and interact with it to see what resources are required. Put all of them into the project until the Finalize button turns green. Tap Finalize, and the Cowshed will be built immediately and ready to use.
For the Cowshed project, you will require 20 jute, 5 iron tools, 5 maple boards, and 5 iron fasteners.
Please note: to build and upgrade your Cowshed, you will need cowbells — the only unique resource required for this building. They are rare and can be found at the Train Attack event on the Global Map, so keep an eye out when it appears.
Once the Cowshed is built, it’s time to start producing filet. The Cowshed is fairly self-sufficient and only needs food. To begin production, interact with it and fill the feeder. You will see a list of food items that can be used. Tap any item to see how much it contributes to the feeder. Once filled, the Cowshed begins producing meat automatically and shows how long the current food supply will last.
Upgrading your Cowshed improves it in several ways:
— Growth rate increases, so the Cowshed produces more filet every 44 hours.
— Meat capacity increases, allowing the Cowshed to store more filet before production pauses. Simply collect it to continue production.
— Feeder capacity expands, letting you add more food at once for longer, steady production.
And if you’re worried about bandits, don’t be — when they attack your Ranch, they’re after your valuables, not your cows.
